The office of the organization, including the Anti-Discrimination Support Point, is located in a building called "baobab". This is the headquarters of the former, almost 100-year-old PKO bank in Lublin at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 39b. The building is partially accessible to people with disabilities. Being aware of possible difficulties, we are attaching a description of the adaptation.
Entrance to the building
To reach the "baobab", you need to reach the gate at ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 39, in Lublin. The main entrance to the building is accessed directly by the road, through the gate and the yard.
Wide stairs with handrails lead to the entrance door.
Behind the double-leaf wooden doors there is a vestibule and another staircase to the main hall. There is a handrail on the left side of the stairs. On the right side, parallel to the handrail, there is a platform for people with disabilities.
Platforms have been installed on the first and second stairs to allow people with mobility disabilities to access the building. To use them, ring the bell - then an employee of the organization will come and help you use the platform.
Main hall "Witalnia"
This hall with an area of 300 square meters where basic services are carried out. The surface of the hall is covered with a smooth concrete screed.
Toilet by the main hall ("Witalnia")
In the right corner of the hall, near the staircase, there is a toilet accessible for people with disabilities.
It has two cabins. The larger one, with an area of approx. 15 square meters, is accessible for people in wheelchairs.
In the room there is a special, wall-hung toilet bowl, set away from the wall, with hinged handrails on the right and left sides. It is possible to access the toilet from both sides.
Next to the toilet there is a waste bin - without a flap.
The sink has a tap with a proximity sensor, an automatic soap dispenser, a proximity dryer, two handrails and a waste bin with a hinged flap. There is a large mirror above the sink.
In the toilet, next to the toilet, there is an alarm signal - a red string hanging to the floor.
The first, second floor and rooms on level - 1 are not inaccessible to people with limited mobility. This is due to the lack of a lift.
