welcome to lublin, autumn program

This Thursday marks the start of the academic year. Lublin will once again become a “collage city.” Currently, nearly 8,000 international students are studying in Lublin. When they decide to move here, they face challenges such as a new environment, a different culture, and learning a new language.

We know how difficult the first few days in a new country, a new city, and a new academic environment can be. That’s why we offer a range of services and activities that we hope will make those first days at the university a little easier.

  • Free Polish language courses, tailored to various skill levels.
  • Student Discussion Club — Monthly student meetings held in Polish and English.
  • City walks — Themed tours during which we show new residents of Lublin our city from more than just a tourist’s perspective.Oct. 15, 2026: Student walk of Lublin at 5:00 p.m. (Polish, English) Registration required
    Oct. 17, 2026: Student Discussion Club (English at 10:00 a.m., Polish at 11:30 a.m.)
    October 17, 2026 “First Steps” meeting at 12:00 PM
    October 21, 2026 “First Steps” meeting for students at 5:00 PM

After classes at the university, students can relax at baobab, visit our multilingual library, or study in the Study Zone.

They can also use one of our four workshops. We invite students to”

  • use one of the computers in the computer workshop during themed activities and open hours;
  • in the electrical engineering workshop, take part in workshops or create something using one of our 3D printers, resin printers, or laser plotters;
  • do some DIY projects in the heavy workshop;
  • take part in workshops on the basics of sewing or learn how to hem your own pants during open hours in the light workshop.

We also offer support in crisis situations, legal counseling, and assistance with gender-based violence and discrimination.
